Trail running in Đà Lạt & the central highlands
Cool air, endless pine forest and the legendary Tà Năng–Phan Dũng route make Đà Lạt Vietnam's trail-running capital.
With its cool climate and pine forests, Đà Lạt is arguably the best place to run trails in Vietnam. The terrain is runnable and rhythmic — long, flowing climbs rather than the brutal steps of the far north.
LangBiang — ~12 km from the city
The iconic peak above Đà Lạt. A steady climb with big views; the standard first objective for visiting runners.
Bidoup – Núi Bà National Park
Deep pine and cloud forest, cool even at midday, with some of the region's highest ground. Excellent for long mountain days.
Tà Năng – Phan Dũng
The most famous trekking-and-trail route in the south, running roughly 55 km from the highlands of Lâm Đồng down to the dry coast of Bình Thuận. Rolling grassland ridges and a genuine point-to-point adventure — do it with local knowledge and enough water.
Around the city
Pine forest and coffee-farm tracks ring Đà Lạt in every direction, which is why it hosts one of the country's most beginner-friendly ultras.
