Lamdong Trail 2025 Postponed: Your Bib Moves to 2026

Lamdong Trail 2025 never happened. On the morning of 6 November 2025, one day before the first start, the Lâm Đồng Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism issued an urgent order to postpone the race because of Typhoon Kalmaegi (storm no. 13 of the season). No replacement date was found in 2025: the fifth edition moved as a whole to Lamdong Trail 2026, on 6–8 November 2026, and according to the organiser's notice to runners, every bib registered for 2025 is carried over to 2026 on the same distance.

Why the race was postponed

On 5 November 2025 the Prime Minister signed telegram 209/CĐ-TTg, ordering every province from Quảng Ngãi to Lâm Đồng to concentrate on storm no. 13. The next morning the Lâm Đồng department sent an urgent dispatch to Nón Xanh JSC, the organising company: postpone the race, pick a suitable later date, and "guarantee athletes' rights under the terms already committed".

The stated reason was "a high risk of flooding, flash floods and landslides, especially in areas with steep terrain and prolonged rain". With a course through the Lang Biang biosphere reserve and 4,044 m of climbing on the 85K, Lamdong Trail is exactly that kind of terrain. Many runners were already in Đà Lạt; the organiser informed them by email and on the race's Facebook page the same day.

Officially this is a "postponement", but since no other date existed in 2025, for runners it amounts to a cancellation: the 2025 edition did not take place, and the bib is valid for 2026. Two weeks later, Vietnam Highlands Trail 2025 also moved to January 2026 because of prolonged rain, for the same reason.

Lamdong Trail 2026: dates, venue, distances

Lamdong Trail 2026 runs on 6–8 November 2026, starting and finishing at TTC World – Valley of Love, Mai Anh Đào street, Đà Lạt. Maps and GPX files from previous editions are on the Lamdong Trail race page.

Elevation figures come from the 2025 GPX tracks; the 2026 course may be adjusted slightly, so check the organiser's final notice before race week.

Your 2025 bib: what to do

You do not need to register again. According to the organiser's notice, every valid 2025 entry is carried over to 2026 on the same distance. Check your confirmation email (spam folder included) before asking.

• Changing distance: allowed under the 2026 regulations for a 250,000 VND fee (about 10 USD), before 10 October 2026.
• Cannot make it in 2026: entry fees are non-refundable under the regulations. You can transfer your bib to another runner, also 250,000 VND and also before 10 October 2026.
• Hotels and travel booked for 2025: outside the organiser's responsibility; contact your booking directly.
